“Bruuuce!” “Hurry Up Sundown(06/24/24)

We have been home from Thailand for a few months. I have finished my projects for the Michigan house for the year, so if felt like a good time to enjoy the lake life that the Michigan area offers. We have been dabbling in this Home Exchange concept for the past year and amassed a plethora of credit. We decided it was time to start dipping into that points bank to book a place on the water. We landed on a spot in Ontario, more specifically the Bruce Peninsula, just outside the town of Tobermory. Continue Reading

I had some free time after Christmas and I decided to head to Canada. This blog will be the first of 4. I have been writing this blog for almost 20 years. After owning and operating a travel company, reconnecting with the outdoors, I now spend a majority of my time exploring both off the beaten path and well worn tourist adventures.

“I saw in their eyes something I was to see over and over in every part of the nation- a burning desire to go, to move, to get under way, anyplace, away from any Here. They spoke quietly of how they wanted to go someday, to move about, free and unanchored, not toward something but away from something. I saw this look and heard this yearning everywhere in every states I visited. Nearly every American hungers to move.”
