Outdoor Adventures

This Summer I had the opportunity to work with a great groups of kids. Once a week we headed out into the wild and engaged in various outdoor activities. We spent our time Orienteering, Mountain Biking, and Canoeing. We had new volunteers every week and we had a great core group of 5 or 6 kids. We all learned a lot about pushing our limits and achieving extraordinary heights.

I have been writing this blog for almost 20 years. After owning and operating a travel company, reconnecting with the outdoors, I now spend a majority of my time exploring both off the beaten path and well worn tourist adventures.

“I saw in their eyes something I was to see over and over in every part of the nation- a burning desire to go, to move, to get under way, anyplace, away from any Here. They spoke quietly of how they wanted to go someday, to move about, free and unanchored, not toward something but away from something. I saw this look and heard this yearning everywhere in every states I visited. Nearly every American hungers to move.”
